Muse Letters
A personalized magazine for the artist creating a world by themselves.
Have you ever had a project that you were so excited about, that no one else in your life understood? And you just knew that if you had other artists you could talk about it with, the idea would get bigger and better so much faster than with you working on it in a vacuum?
This is exactly what Muse Letters are for. We spend 60-90 minutes on the phone, where you tell me all about your project, whether it's just a tiny sapling of an idea or a giant oak tree you're putting the finishing touches on. You tell me your references, the movies, books, music, paintings, etc. that have influenced you in its conception and/or creation.
After we nerd out together, I run with your references. I watch the movies, read the books, listen to the music, study the time period, surf the wave of fascination. I find my own points of reference to fit into, and expand, the world you're creating. And then, I write you a letter about it all.
3 weeks later, I email you a 3-10 page document that synthesizes these ideas into something totally unique. It might have visuals, original poetry, art analysis, recommendations, a painting inspired by your project, or a number of other fun surprises. A bespoke artifact exploring, deepening, and sharing the world that has previously only existed in your mind.
The pages of the letter will depend on the scope of your project and our collaborative artistic references, Each call and subsequent letter is $400, regardless of the size of your project or my letter.
